Even when it's bone chilling cold out.... there's ALWAYS something to shoot indoors :)
This gives me the chance to experiment with various lighting situations, and camera settings.
Today was my ISO 800 speed experiment.
I'm still shooting hand held, even though most of these shots are at slower shutter speeds. This particular lens 18-55mm has image stabilization built in, so that what a HUGE help.
I have a tripod, but the pivotal head isn't strong enough to support the weight of the camera. I bought it when I used to shoot macros with my Point and Shoot Canon Powershot A-470. So, looks like I'll be investing in a sturdier tripod to support the weight of this Canon DSLR.
There's also some other little things I tweaked here and there to produce this image.
