I had a chance to "mingle" with some of the beautiful models in attendance there.
These two beautiful models traveled from Queens, New York, just to be in the house...here in Philly
I assured both ladies their trip would not be in vain.... and I would feature them here in THE URBAN PERSPECTIVE .... to which they agreed :)

Aspiring Model Stefan Andre contacted me via one of my Craigslist Ads I posted online for my photography services
He explained that he needed to start building a portfolio now that he's back in the modeling industry.
Stefan is from the West Chester , Pa area.
We coordinated a shoot out in West Chester, Pa, and our first location shoot was in the old railyards of the West Chester Pa Rail co.
The gentlemen in charge there gave us unrestricted access to shoot in the railyard.
This is one of a couple hundred shots we photogged that day. Other location was in one of the well known parks out in the area.
I wanted to start uploading some of these images, not only to give Stefan greater exposure, but also to showcase some of my talent for any prospective clients.
From a photog's point of view, Stefan is a great guy to work with and would be an asset to your fashion campaign. So do consider hiring him. Contact him by clicking on his link here :

I will upload more images and try to keep this post updated with newer shots as time permits.

Philly's Own : Nadjah

Last month I had the pleasure to hear up and coming
R&B artist Nadjah. Nadjah is from the Philadelphia region and is slowly building a loyal following.

I BLOGGED another image of Nadjah earlier last month and will provide the link to that post.
In this image, I captured Nadjah and executive music producer extraordinaire J Anthony Thompson of JATWorld Productions.
I spoke with Mr. Thompson last evening upon picking him up from the airport , and he informed me of his newest CD project about to drop , featuring a couple tracks from Nadjah.
Please be sure to check out his MySpace to contact him about your musical endeavors.
Also, Nadjah is always looking to showcase her talents, so her management team may be contacted via her MySpace .

Great day out in the West Chester, Pa railyard.
In addition to my client's model shoot , which was shot on location,
managed to take some personal shots.
I want to give a public THANK YOU to the good people working at the West Chester Railroad
They granted us unrestricted access to shoot in the Rail yards.
I'm waiting for my client to update his MySpace, and other social networking accounts, so I can start uploading pics from that day's shoot, and link over to his page(s) so others know how to contact him for hire.

To the left of the railing ........ Schuylkill River about 50-60feet down. To the right.... a steady stream of traffic that makes said overpass sway somewhat from the weight of the traffic, and a teeth chattering rumbling that courses the body.
Now throw in a little vertigo... yes, that would be me crouched down on knee composing this shot.
Keepin my equilibrium in check from "nothing" on the left, drone of traffic on the right, and looking to infinity straight down the lens....

A Goose on the River

A Goose on the River
Originally uploaded by RayBanBro66
I shot this from an overpass this past weekend in West Conshohocken, Pa

I was walking across a bridge that I normally drive over daily.
I looked down and was mesmerized by the reflection of the building on the water.

Now keep in mind I get vertigo really bad when there's water involved. This shot was taken about 50feet above the river on some narrow "path" also served by joggers, bikers, and pedestrians in general .

So once I got my bearings and regained equilibrium , I was able to comp this shot.

The nice surprise was finding the lone goose on the water ,after I downloaded the image from the camera. I would have been content with just the reflection , but the goose is the cherry on top of the cake for this shot .
You can click on the image to see the full impact in various sizes and on a black background.

So yesterday, I thought it would be one of those days where I could drive up there, park, and then walk around in the area.

A St Patrick's Day celebration with parade and all!!
This was "music to my eyes" and the potential for some nice shots.

Philly Skyline After Dark

This shot wrapped up my day of photoshooting in the city that day.
The Philadelphia Flower Show was in town, and parking was at a premium.
Even my favoritie garage when I go into the city was almost full.
I ended up parking on the rooftop level around 7th & Arch.
What photog in his/her right mind would pass up a shot like this?
Practically unobstructed view of the skyline
If you view the larger size...or even the ORIGINAL size of this image, (by clicking on the image) you will even see ole "Billy Penn" atop of City Hall (the building with the yellow clock in the foreground)
Guess which one is the COMCAST building? Wasn't too hard huh? How did you know automatically... even if you've never been to Philadelphia... which one it was? LOL
Anyways, I had already packed in my camera and lenses.... until I got off the elevator and started walking to my car.
I guess there was a reason I was meant to park on the rooftop that day....... and I finally understood why when I snapped this image.

No Chinese Communist Party

(You can clik on the No Chinese Communist Party title "link" above to see the report I filed on NowPublic.com)

Today was a busy day photography wise for me.
I was on my way to the Philadelphia Flower Show, and walked right into the middle of peaceful protest in the Chinatown Section of the city.
It was an anti-Chinese Communist Party rally. I spoke with one of the organizers, and since I had my DSLR EOS Canon Rebel Xs with me, that was a golden opportunity to document such an event.
I assured her, that I would help "get the story out" and I filed a "report" with my Canadian friends at NowPublic.com
