X-Files : Fort Mifflin

X-Files : Fort Mifflin

This was shot at Fort Mifflin on the Delaware in Philly. An old
Revolutionary War Fort...which has been extensively documented
for paranormal activity
My on camera flash DID fire believe it or not. I would have just tossed
this one aside for being underexposed...but then I noticed if you
look over by the picture of the canon on the wall, there is a bluish
haze that starts there, and extends past the window. You would
expect this 'hazy' effect in a smoky room, but I assure you these
rooms are smoke free and when I shot this I saw no "haze" in the room
There is no window on the opposite side of the room either for light to
get in that way either
This photo was NOT enhanced in anyway, not even light adjusted due to underexposure.
If u really scrutinize this image at 100% you will see a reflection of the haze in the glass on top of the case. This rules out "something in the camera" defect
Paranormal? Just some "weird" anamoly? Skeptical? ....why not go check this place out for yourself
and decide ;)
One thing's for sure, "light" sure does behave oddly here. You can check out a prior "unexplained"
image I shot in one of the other quarters here.

The Unexplained : Fort Mifflin

Unexplained : Fort Mifflin

Fort Mifflin on the Delaware (in Philadelphia)
Can't remember which room or quarters
this was in.
Anyways, I noticed the following unexplained
"light" in the middle of the room AFTER I snapped
this image. It does not appear on any pics before or
after this one, so i do not think it was some "fluke"
pertaining to the camera for 1 image.
This photo was NOT enhanced in any way, &
this is basically straight from the memory card
Fort Mifflin   is the subject of many
paranormal investigations & has been featured on
several cable channels. Please click that orange Fort Mifflin
to link over to documented cases. People travel here just for
that purpose, sort of ghost hunters if you will
I saw a wall in one of the rooms over there of pictures
that visitors have sent in of unexplained "things"
in their photos. I think this image might join
that wall. Click here for larger & ORIGINAL sized versions

The Liberty Bell

This is probably one of Philly's most heavily toured treasured items.
So it's almost impossible to get a shot of it by itself (as a visitor).

Tried some experimenting in Photoshop and this was the result

I included the Original shot also. You

Humans & NonRuminant

Humans & NonRuminant

I originally was gonna call this shot "Poignant Moments"

First be sure to VIEW ON BLACK to see this larger

Shot this at the Philadelphia Zoo earlier this year.
Since this was taken, said elephant(s) have now been moved to the zoo in Pittsburgh, Pa. Philly no longer has elephants at the zoo....

..... "Poignant Moments".... the slight blur of the elephant symbolically fading out of the picture

I remembered that the scientific name for elephants is "Pachyderm"
(I've already linked that word, so just click on it ) .
In part, that definition of Pachyderm says "Any of various NonRuminant mammals..."
I always got a chuckle out of that word "NonRuminant : non-room-ey-nant. LOL LOL LOL

This shot always stuck out in my mind. He had just delivered a
historic speech, turned from the podium, 1st Lady Michelle behind hm,
then looked into the audience to see who's hand he was gonna shake.
